About
Systems Assembling SA came into being in 1997 as a result of a management buy-out of Electrona SA in Boudry, Neuchâtel.
The owner at the time, Ueli Schürch, began with a workforce of about 30. Their speciality was cable assembly. Ueli Schürch and his staff proceeded to grow the company until the workforce reached about 70. They also started to gain a reputation for the quality of their electrical control cabinet work.
In 2007, Ueli Schürch sold his company to Markus Niederhauser and went into well-deserved retirement. Markus and his management team continued to build the company and the workforce soon grew in size to 100. It was around this time that the company gained its expertise in research and development and in mechatronics.
They began investing in automation, keen to ensure the long-term competitiveness of the production site in Switzerland. In 2011, the company moved to larger premises (3,500 sqm), also in Boudry.
To keep productivity levels high, the company maintains an ongoing programme of investment in the field of lean production.
Systems Assembling SA will celebrate its twentieth anniversary in September 2017. We are looking forward to welcoming a large number of well known figures from industry, administration and politics.
